This search is designed to assist a qualified attorney or patent agent in filing an application for Accelerated Examination for his or her client. With a completed patent application, we conduct an extensive search based on the claims of your application for patent and non-patent literature within the areas required by the USPTO. The search sources used are those stipulated by the USPTO’s minimum documentation requirement and the USPTO’s search templates according to the subject matter of your application. This search is scoped so that all claimed features of the application are covered, as set out by the USPTO’s guidelines for accelerated examination. Our deliverable includes both our standard formal search report and our entire search history provided as required by the USPTO’s guidelines for accelerated examination. The search report is usually 5 to 20 pages and includes a restatement of the subject features under investigation, a listing and description of the classes and subclasses searched, a listing of all text strings and text-search logic used, the names of examiners contacted, and a brief but detailed discussion of each reference. The report has a table that maps out specific subject features in each reference and that directs you to where the subject features are recited. We can also provide paper or electronic copies of the most pertinent patents and technical publications identified during the search. For legal protection, confidentiality is ensured. |
